Poker Pals ("we", "us") operates the poker night tracker at poker-pals-app.web.app and the information site at thepokerpals.com. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and what you can do about it.
Poker Pals is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use the app, and there is no guest access: signing in with Google is required.
The app is a tool for organizing and tracking real home poker games — including buy-ins and settlement amounts between players — so it is intended for adult users. Eighteen is the youngest legal gambling age in the places we expect players: 18 in Alberta, Manitoba, and Quebec and in several US states, 19 or older in the other Canadian provinces, and up to 21 in many US states. Where your province or state sets a higher age for gambling, that local age applies to your game, and following it is your responsibility.
Google does not share your birthday with us, so the first time you sign in we ask for your year of birth and for your acceptance of this policy before you can use the app. If you indicate you are under 18, the year is not saved and you are signed out. We store only your birth year and the date you accepted this policy, and we use them solely for these two purposes. If we learn that someone under 18 has an account, we will terminate it.
We do not host games, accept wagers, or process any payments between players. The app only records chip counts and settlement amounts that you and your friends manage yourselves. Whether your home game is legal, and the age it requires, depends on where you live — you are responsible for following your local laws.
We use your information only to provide the app: signing you in, recording your 18+ confirmation and policy acceptance, syncing your games, groups, calendar, and moments across devices, and answering support requests. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Your account and content live in Supabase (authentication, database, file storage). Google handles sign-in and the Maps/Places search on the Food page. Spotify handles the Music connection. These providers process data on our behalf to run the app; they are the only third parties involved.
Your account data is kept until you delete it. You can delete individual moments, games, and calendar events in the app. To delete your account and everything in it, contact us from the email address on the account and we will remove your data.
Poker Pals is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information — for example under Canadian privacy laws such as PIPEDA and Quebec's Law 25, or US state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. Contact us to exercise any of these rights.
If this policy changes, we will post the new version on this page with an updated date.
